Artist Statement
“Painting is therapy and Art brings a balance in our everyday lives”
Nature is a foundation and an essence of my artwork. I am astonished by the panoramic view of nature and the transformation in all life form in the wild. Seeing or imagining them gives me an aspiration to draw and paint. I found beauty when I see layers of mountains covered in misty blankets of cloud, or panoramic view of fields with all the surrounding nature and animals.
If you take a moment to observe, there are countless activities all around us in nature shouting out “I am alive”, like changing activities near the sea side, or transformation of fruits from the flowers blossom.
Through my paintings, I want to expose and display the peaceful heaven and the spirit that I experienced from these scenes. I enjoy painting wildlife pieces while I imagine a fairy tale stories. I like to illustrate a story with the images of wild animals with an affection between the mother and her cubs, or offspring.
Most of my paintings are centered around a family life and the peaceful air. Pondering on the memory of joyful days and while imagining a human like interaction of wild animals bring me to a time of happiness and tranquility in my own life.
With my paintings, I want to offer the warm and joyful atmosphere and hope that my viewers can experience the moment of surreal dream as I express the harmony and the humor in the wildlife.
